The 2015 LogoLounge Logo Trend Report is out (no Roundels!?). It’s always fun to see the direction designers are going in with their work. The one thing that stands out to me is the use of detail, subtlety, and gradients — all things that were taboo in logo design not too long ago. With the advent of hi-def/retina displays and the obsolescence of fax machines the requirements have changed. In my opinion, it’s still a really good idea to consider some of those older design foundations in logo design, but it’s good to see an evolution.
